For the 2nd time, I’m finally back in Oregon! I was very excited to explore more about the beautiful greenery of Oregon! This time, in addition to checking out Portland, I had the pleasure to stay in Beaverton as well! Beaverton is a city in Washington county, bordering Portland near the Tualatin Valley. Beaverton is about 20-30 mins outside of Portland and it’s more of a quaint suburban town. Beaverton is small, but it’s definitely beginning to build up more. People are even starting to move there because of the affordable housing, the amenities are accessible, and is less crowded compared to other cities. If you ever want to stay in a more suburban city in Oregon where is not compact but the shopping, dining, and scenery is trendy, then stay in Beaverton, OR. so glad Amplified Business Solutions and the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce recommended this fabulous place!

The hotel that you must stay in while you are in Beaverton is the Elements by WestinElements by Westin (owned by Marriott). This hotel is BRAND new and just opened a few weeks ago! It is located at the heart of the Pacific Northwest Wine Country and Silicon Forest. It is about a 30 mins drive from PDX airport or if you are riding the MAX, it will be a 2 hour ride. Some of the dining and shops are a bit far from the hotel, but it is only a 10 min drive to get to the main part of Beaverton. If you want to do a trip in Portland, if you take the MAX, you will get to Downtown in an hour; driving will be 20-30 mins (depending on traffic).

When you first walk into the hotel, it was clean and beautiful. I would describe the design as modern, contemporary with Pacific Northwest touches. It’s not a flashy hotel like some of the others in Portland, but I see it more as a business hotel which is comforting for business travel. Even though it is a business hotel, it’s still very beautiful and modern that is perfect for any type of traveler as well. There were also really sophisticated decorations that were warm and contemporary too. For example, the paintings, sculptures, and light fixtures, gave the hotel flair and cozy vibes. There’s even an herb garden that looks super healthy and eye-catching. The hotel also offers complimentary healthy breakfast is open from (weekdays) 6:30am-9:30am, and (weekends) 7am-10am. The hotel amenities that are inside the hotel include a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor heating pool, free Wi-Fi, a half basketball court, a beautiful outdoor seating area, meeting spaces, a convenience store, free parking and laundry. Everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay.

I got the pleasure to stay at the Standard Room at the hotel. When I first walked in, I found out it was super clean. No one has actually never stayed in the room I was at before and they did an amazing job cleaning it even though no one has occupied it before. The bathroom was very clean and modern as well. This room carries the same modern, contemporary, Pacific Northwest vibe as the lobby. I do see a lot of super cute decorations in my room that make it fun as My view is filled with many beautiful trees but there isn’t much of a view to look out from. I will say it’s super quiet, located in the suburbs, and there aren’t many distractions that will disturb guests. Another thing is because the hotel is located in the suburbs in Oregon, there aren’t a large amount of shops or dining that are walkable from the hotel. Getting to those places will just be a short drive or bus ride. Beaverton is about a 20-40 min drive to Portland and if you want to do public transportation, it will include taking the MAX and bus.

Overall, I want to say, congratulations to the city of Beaverton for opening up this beautiful hotel. I believe even though it’s not the flashiest hotel, if guests want the comfort, quiet, and cleanliness of a hotel, this is the spot to stay at. I personally know how calm, collected, clean, and spacious the hotel was and I would most definitely stay here again. Thank you to the staff for checking me in and hosting me during my stay at The Elements by Westin.
