The 5th annual San Francisco Coffee Festival took place at Fort Mason in San Francisco, CA on November 13th and 14th. There were a bunch of tastings, panels, live music, a latte art competition, and food. There were a lot of coffee vendors and eateries showcasing their brand to the public. Some of the participating coffee vendors were Voyager, Motivat, AKA coffee, Equator, etc. I got to visit some of the coffee vendors (even though I don’t drink coffee) to check out where they import their coffee from and what makes each coffee vendor stand out from other coffee vendors. One vendor called AKA coffee is located in Oakland. They roast their coffee and then ship them to cafes, offices, and restaurants all over the country. They get their coffee beans from Columbia, Ethiopia, and some other parts of Latin America so they can roast them into a product to ship. They offer a wide range of coffee flavors that are warming and great to wake up. I saw other types of coffee that are from all over the world like India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, etc. There are just so many variables of coffee out there, you just have to taste test them all and that is what makes each coffee vendor stand out. There are diffeeent parts of the world that coffee is imported from and it’s just amazing on how coffee is roasted throughout different countries.

There were also some food selling too that pair excellent with coffee like mochi donuts/mochifins from Third Culture Bakery, waffles from Le Waf, avocado toast from Toasty, banana bread from Hiii bread, etc. The perfect food vendors for the perfect coffee themed event! This event really BREW San Francisco away! Is there a paring of food you like with your coffee? Let me know!
