Silicon Valley is located south from the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s home to many big tech companies like Facebook, Apple, and Google. Silicon Valley cities include San Jose, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, etc. I have been to Silicon Valley multiple times but not to check out the technology institutions, but to check out the hidden gem food p[aces that are the best! Here are the top food places in Silicon Valley you must try!

  1. Fambrini’s Cafe (Palo Alto, CA)

Fambrini’s Cafe is located in Palo Alto and known for their delicious brunch. Legit the BEST brunch spot I had yet! Legit, everything tasted so delicious especially that fluffy fat French toast! It was like my mouth was on a pillow chewing this delicious toast! I loved everything about it! I also really recommend their Vegetarian Fam burger because I love their black bean patty with all the amazing veggies in it! I did it some of the curry chicken salad as well and it was not over dressed and absolutely had a lot of flavor! The waffle sandwich was a reallly nice breakfast sandwich also to brighten and start off your day! Overall, amazing brunch spot 1000% recommend this place!!! It’s also really good for vegetarians/vegans too!

2. Happy Hoolingans (San Jose, Berkeley and Santa Clara, CA)

The Happy Hooligans serves up vegan/vegetarian cuisine that you won’t believe these food items are all plant based! All of their food is made out of plants and vegetables and tasted really delicious! They are known for their vegan comfort food in San Jose, Berkeley, and Santa Clara. I really encourage you guys to check out this spot if you are craving some vegan comfort food because vegan food is delicious; like I know people don’t want to go vegan, but at least try the food here! You will feel satisfied after their meal and not guilty eating it haha! Personally. My favorite were the cauliflower flower bites because it‘s like a play-on buffalo wings but you have cauliflower instead. The cauliflower was not mushy, and tasted crunchy, and like a regular buffalo wing. It’s truly amazing to see and taste real authentic vegan/vegetarian food! I would go vegetarian to start out than vegan to be honest!

3. CA Bakehouse (San Jose, CA)

Photo: Mochifins, Portuguese Tarts, Matcha and Black Sesame Choux Pastries

Located in Little Saigon, this bakery is a true hidden gem! They serve up some of the freshest baked goods in San Jose! guys! I love this bakery because they have the most heart warming pasteries! I literally can’t decided which one was the best but however, my favorite would be the Choux with matcha fillings! I also love their Portuguese tarts because the crust would be buttery flake and it has the perfect ratio with the filling. It’s not too sweet but oh man, overall, I loved literally every single pastry you see!

4. Sam and Curry (San Jose, CA)

Located in San Jose, Sam and Curry is not a tradtional Indian restaurant but has Indian food and great spices! Sam and Curry is basically “Chipotle “ style food but with an Indian twist that taste so much better than Chipotle! It’s the same concept as Chipotle but the type of cuisine is different. This is real authentic Indian food that you can build upon and their take on burritos, tacos, salad and rice bowls are truly amazing! You need to try this place out it’s totally worth every single time and penny!

5. Must Be Thai (San Jose, CA)

Photo: Dragon Fruit Lemonade, Anchan Lemonade, Pok Pok Thai, Summer Rolls, Tom Yum, Green Curry with blue rice, and Loco Moco

This Thai Restaurant is located in San Jose/Santa Clara, CA located next to the Wesfield Valley Fair Mall. Want some authentic Thai cuisine in Silicon Valley! This restaurant brings the city of Bangkok to the Bay Area! Everything was so flavorful and the drinks were like picture perfect! They even change colors when you mix it since they added in lime juice! It’s both Instagramable, colorful, and refreshing! I recommend getting their green curry! It’s such a Thai classic but the curry is just so heart warming with rice! I can just have curry for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! You also need to try their Loco Moco which is vanilla ice cream with red bean, lychee, mango, and sticky rice topped with coconut shredding! You get a lot of texture from the coconut and there are so many depths of flavor and textures in the dessert, that it’s just the best to eat!

6. Desi (Campbell, CA)

Photo: Mango lassi

They are located in Campbell, CA doing those modern Indian twist on some of their classic Indian dishes in fused with American dishes! I honestly never had Indian food but literally, this changes me on how I view Indian food! It’s so tasteful and flavorful that literally I can’t stop eating their food! Omg like I rate all of their dishes a 10/10 because of service, and of course the food! My fav dish would have to me the Gujia empanada because the filling was not like a regular empanada. It was much more flavorful, the seasoning was on point, and the shell was perfect! The mango lassi was also the perfect drink to go with your meal because it wasn’t too sweet, and the mango flavor was thick and prominent. If you live in the bay and always wanted to try Indian food, this place is definitely the place to go for Indian food!

7. Sushi Confidential (San Jose and Campbell, CA)

Photo: Anti-Phishing, DTF (Down to Fiesta), Hollaback, Snitch

Sushi confidential is located in Downtown San Jose and Campbell and they are known for sushi as you can see! Did you know all of these rolls I got were vegetarian??? Perfect for my diet! Ahhh! These vegetarian rolls were so delicious! My favorite one would have to be the Anti-phishing! It has spicy tofu, tempured green beans, topped with Ahimi, avocado, unagi sauce, green onions! Ahimi is like tuna but it’s a play-on tuna that taste like tuna but made with tomatoes! I highly recommend this roll that was my all time favorite!!!!

8. Vegan Veganos

Photo: 5 Al Pastor, 5 Asada, 5 chorizo n potatoes(plant based) , and 5 “shrimp” tacos!

I am not sure where they are exactly located, but they are a vegan food truck located in San Jose, CA! They are a vegan/Mexican food truck in and I got 20 VEGAN tacos! 😆 Can y’all believe they are all vegan and plant based? Woah! As a rising flexitarian, I’m starting to appreciate more plant based foods and for my plant based friends, this is legit vegan/vegetarian comfort food here! All of their tacos were so delicious but I have to say my favorite taco had to be the “shrimp” taco because the shrimp is made out of soy and plants! It was so crunchy and that slaw on top was so delicious! With a bit of lime (which they provide for you), it takes the taco to another flavor level that I admire so much! Highly recommend this place! It’s so worth it!

9. Parktown Pizza

Photo: Lamb Kebab Pizza and East Meets West

Parktown Pizza is known for creating the famous pizza and adding an Indian twist to pizzas. Anyone craving pizza in the Bay? This place located at Morgan Hill and San Jose serves some bomb Indian snacks and pizza! Tired of having the same kinds of toppings in every pizza place you go to? Spice up your pizza game and expand your horizon into some Indian pizza that you will never be bored of! I recommend the lamb kebab pizza because the sauce on that was bomb and the lamb was moist and not dry. You can definitely taste the Indian spices on this pizza and there are just tons of flavor built in this pizza. I would have to say the snacks are bomb too! You gotta look up their snacks they have because they are perfect while having your pizza!

10. Barya Kitchen

Photo: Oxtail Birria tacos( yellow corn, blue corn, chipotle flavor tortillas)

This place is a pop up in San Jose (not sure if it still is) and they have their own food truck now in San Francisco/Silicon Valley! Barya’s kitchen is known for their Filipino and Mexican fusion dishes! These were very delicious oxtail lumpias and tacos you are witnessing! When you dip it into that oxtail broth, it takes the tacos and the lumpia to a whole another level of flavor! I love the kick of heat I got from the broth and the acidity paring with the heat cools it down and just the flavors are just delicious! I really loved each of the flans as well because the flan was very light, cake was a bit heavy for me but reguardless, I literally couldn’t stop eating them!
