Strawberry Moose in Goldfinch Tavern at Four Seasons Hotel

Planning a trip to Seattle, WA soon? From August 8th-11th, I visited Seattle for a food trip because I haven’t been to Seattle in a long time and I thought, it would be nice to see what food places Seattle had to offer that I missed! From boba places, to casual eats, to deserts, and fine dining, here are the food places I went to in Seattle, Washington that I recommend!

  1. Chung Chun Rice Dog in Chinatown

Chung Chun is known for their Korean corn dogs; also named the gamja hot dog. It’ is a hot dog but with a Korean twist! It’s the ultimate street food for many Asian countries like in Japan, Taiwan, China, and of course, Seoul! Have you ever had a rice dog before? It’s truely chewy, light, and yummy! They use rice flour in their batter instead of all purpose flour to make the batter lighter to enjoy! They also add sugar to make the corn dog sweet. My favorite one was the sweet potato one because the sweet potato added a crunchy texture and the mozzarella was nice and hot in the inside!

2. Dochi in Chinatown

Mochi donuts are the ultimate must get when you come to Seattle. These Japanese donuts are a fusion between a Japanese rice cake (aka mochi) and the traditional American fried donut. It’s made with glutinous rice flour and other ingredients which makes the mochi texture that is soft and chewy. How pretty are these mochi donuts? Ahhh they tasted really good and the texture was just right! The flavors were great but my favorite was the Strawberry Pocky because the strawberry flavor really came through and I just loved every bite! The strawberry was strong and I just loved it so much!

3. Goldfinch Tavern at Four Seasons Hotel

Goldfinch Tavern is located inside the stunning Four Seasons Hotel! This is the perfect fine dining experience for any special occasion! Executive Chef Ethan Stonewell elevates American food into a fine dining experience you deserve! This has truely been one of my favorite dinners by so far yet! I love how modern the plating was and how flavorful every single dish was! Everything just tasted as it should be and I really thank the host, the chef, the waiter, and the manager for everything they have done to make this dining experience special! My favorite dish was Ahi believe it or not even though it was fish because it just tasted silky smooth with little work I had to do to get that decadent, silky bite I was aiming for! Overall of the dishes were amazing and would definitely one back here!

4. TP Tea in Chinatown

TP tea (Taiwanese Professional Tea) is known for their boba and fruit teas. They have 3 locations in California as well as other locations in Ontario, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Texas. I visited all 3 of their California locations so I gotta try their Washington location as well! The drinks are the same as California and boy this location didn’t disappoint! Tp tea always deliver the strongest tea flavors; brewed to perfection of each tea leaves, each drink is made with love and care for their customers! I always love their drinks and most I love with their summer mango drink because it reminds me of summer and the flavor of mango really stands out! The summer drink has a soft texture with a sweet and fresh consistency and I just love every sip of that mango! If you ask me the difference between this location and the CA locations, as far as the menu goes, this location has a smaller menu. As far as quality of the teas, they are pretty much the same in a good way. String flavors and the brewing of the teas were strong as well.

5. Shinyas Shokudo in Belltown

Located near the Space Needle, they are serving up some delicious modern Japanese cuisine that you wouldn’t find in a lot of places in Seattle! If you don’t know what yaki onigiri is, it’s basically a rice ball that is grilled that is covered in soy sauce. You typically put stuff inside the onigiri but I decided to just leave it plain. Love their yaki onigiri because of the crunchy texture with the flavors . I also recommend their gama tofu because it was so silky soft and had that umami flavor that I’ve been craving! I highly recommend this place if your in Seattle If you are craving Japanese cuisine.

6. Don’t Yell at me at the University of Washington, Seattle

Located at the University of Washington and Kirkland, this place should be the college students go-to boba spot! If you are craving boba, this spot is super legit! I love the name of the boba shop! It’s so cute and I love how it stands out! Anyways, these milk teas are very strong and I would say this is my favorite boba spot I went to in Seattle that I just highly recommend trying out if your near the university! I really love the Lavender milk tea because the lavender has such a strong kick that is floral with mint and rosemary! Perfect as a spring time drink I would say! The Osmanthus Jasmine milk tea was delicious too because it tasted floral, luscious, and light. Like this isn’t a regular jasmine milk tea you would find at any other boba place! In the future, I want to check out the Kirkland location so if you are in Kirkland area, go check it out!!!
